Molly was raised in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional career at the age of thirteen, at the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. Then she was nominated as an Barrymore Award nominee for her character of Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production of Into the Woods. The role was reprised in the production when she performed her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway in 2002. The show won her a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly was also part of the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, in 2004. She then attended Princeton University and was a part of Princeton's Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in the year 2008. in Religion. at the time, Wendy Greenhut made her Disney College Road Trip debut. Molly began her career after graduating with Off-Broadway performances, including End Days and The Wonderful Maladys at HBO Pilot.
