Roulette is a form of gambling that is named after the French word meaning little wheel which is thought to originate out of the Italian game Biribi. The game is played by a player may choose to place a bet on one number, several groups of numbers, the color red or black regardless of whether the numbers are odd or even, or if the numbers are high (19-36) or low (1-18). The croupier spins a wheel in one direction and turns the ball around.
